Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
We only allow comments from registered users and all comments are held for moderation. Gravatars
A gravatar is a photo you have previously setup at www.gravatar.com that follows you to all websites using that service.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) is provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments that may be approved automatically instead of being held in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data
Our website uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology so all information passed between the server and client is encrypted for security. We utilize strong password protection for our administration as well as we utilize security software to ensure that the website and server are not easily compromised.
Our website employs virus on itself and on all uploaded content, including comments posted, photographs and other accepted file types.
Analytics
We employ Google Analytics to help improve user experiences and for the purposes of monitoring the relationship of links between or website and our social media pages.
What data breach procedures we have in place
We employ and monitor security software on the website which logs and all invalid logins and backdoor attempts. All data breach attempts are automatically blocked at an IP level. Our software also includes a citadel mode which can self lock-down the website as an added layer of security if necessary. Our servers are under 24-hour monitoring.
We will notify all registered users by email within 7 days of any data breach we suffer.
